Electrical contracting · Western Australia

Proof, not promises.

Anyone can tell you it will be right. We hand over the test results, the ITRs and the as-builts that show it is.

What we are

A contractor that does
the work.

Electrical, self-performed across mining, resources and utility infrastructure in Western Australia. Accountable for below, above and for what goes in it.

01

Straight dealing

One price, built up honestly, with the exclusions written down where you can see them. No discovery of scope after the contract is signed.

02

Self-performing

Installation, termination and testing are done by our own people under our own supervision, so nothing falls between two contractors.

03

Systems-built

Procedures, registers and records existed before the first job did. The documentation is a by-product of how the work runs, not a scramble at handover.

Electrical

The paperwork is part of the work.

Test results, ITRs and as-builts assembled as the job goes in — not reconstructed from memory in the week after handover.

Electrical

Tested. Tagged. Done.

Industrial and commercial electrical installation, termination and testing — delivered by our own people, with the test results and the compliance paperwork handed over as part of the job.

Method

Six steps, every job,
no exceptions.

01

Understand the job

Read the drawings, walk the site where we can, and ask the questions that are cheaper to ask now than to discover on site.

02

Price it straight

Built up from first principles, one margin, and every assumption and exclusion listed in writing with the price.

03

Plan the sequence

Programme, resources, plant and permits worked out before mobilisation, against the constraints the site actually has.

04

Build it once

Self-performed, directly supervised, and inspected as it goes rather than at the end.

05

Prove it

Tested and recorded against the ITP, with results captured as the work completes.

06

Hand it over

As-builts, test records and certification delivered with the asset — complete, on the day.

How we price

One margin,
on top of the stack.

The price is built from the bottom up — materials, labour, plant and access, preliminaries — and then one margin sits on top of the lot. Not a margin hidden in each line, and not a number worked backwards from what we think you will pay.

Assumptions and exclusions come with the price, in writing, so a variation later is a real change of scope rather than a gap we left on purpose.

Safety & quality

Documented before
the first job.

Kentledge was built with its management system already in place — HSE procedures, risk and hazard registers, ITPs and test records, plant and calibration registers, and a document control system behind all of it.

That means the safety pack and the quality records asked for at prequalification are not written for the occasion. They are the ones already in use.

About

Why the name.

In piling, kentledge is the dead weight — stacked concrete blocks or steel — loaded onto a pile to prove it will carry its design load before anything is built on top of it. It is a test done honestly, before it matters, so nobody has to find out the hard way.

Kentledge is led by Justin Heffernan and works across Western Australia in mining and resources, utility and network infrastructure, and commercial and industrial electrical. The business is deliberately structured to carry the work it takes on.
